Risk Disclosure
Options are risky. You can lose money. This page is a draft so you can see the risks before the beta. It is not a complete list, and it is not advice.
You can lose the whole premium
An option can expire worthless. You can lose 100% of the premium you paid. If the market does not finish on the side you picked, the option pays nothing and the premium is gone. That is a normal outcome, not a bug.
Closing early
You can close early by trading back with market makers. If nobody quotes, you hold the option until settlement. A close can only reduce a position you already hold. If you need the money on a fixed day, do not trade.
Settlement
These are European-style options, cash-settled in USDC. Settlement uses a 30-minute average of the Paradex spot oracle, ending at expiry. Crypto options expire at 08:00 UTC. Gold, oil, and stock-index options expire around the underlying's session close (gold around 17:30 UTC, oil around 18:30 or 19:30 UTC, US stocks and US500 around 20:00 or 21:00 UTC). Those clocks come from Paradex's market list and can change. We do not promise the minute USDC shows up in your account after settlement.
The venue can go quiet
Paradex can refuse a quote, pause requests, or be unavailable. On 8 October 2026 its quote system was unavailable for about 20 minutes while the rest of the venue still looked up. A quote you saw can expire before you accept it. A price can move. "Accepted" is not the same as filled.
Bridges and gas
Moving USDC from another network can be delayed, can fail, or can be refunded. A refund is not instant. Some networks need a little ETH in your wallet for the network fee. Dumbify does not sponsor that fee in this beta. A bridge is operated by another company, not by Dumbify.
Smart contracts and wallets
Paradex, the bridge, and the USDC contracts are software. They can have bugs. A bug can freeze or lose funds. Your wallet can be drained if someone else gets the keys, the recovery, or a signature you did not mean to give. Dumbify cannot reverse a chain transaction.
Restricted places
Paradex does not serve every country, and it also refuses some people (including a "U.S. person" and a "Canadian person") even when a country code would not show that. Their list is at paradex.trade/restricted-persons. Dumbify can also block country codes that an operator configures. A country header is not proof of where you live. If you are in a restricted place, do not use this product.
Caps
During the beta, one trade and one deposit cannot go over the limits shown in the app. Those limits can change. They do not cap your total loss across many trades. Each trade can still lose 100% of its premium.
Read the Terms as well. If you do not understand this page, do not trade.
